Vision Statement of the Province

"Rooted in the ‘Spirit-inspired’ vision of Bishop John Aelen and the patronage of St. Joseph and St. Francis of Assisi we strive for an integral liberation of the poor and marginalized and commit ourselves to establish a just and humane society in solidarity, with women and girl children”.

Mission Statement

"Inspired by the Franciscan charism and the legacy of Bishop John Aelen-Our Founder, our Province commits itself to:

• Deepening Faith: Nurturing the spiritual life of the 12 dioceses through dedicated catechesis, sacramental preparation, and the accompaniment of Basic Christian Communities.

• Compassionate Presence: Serving as a bridge of hope in remote villages by visiting the sick, the imprisoned, and the grieving.

• Inclusive Outreach: Promoting social justice and marriage rectification, while fostering harmony through interfaith dialogue and care for the most vulnerable.

• Total Service: Responding with apostolic flexibility to the unique needs of every parish, doing everything possible in the name of Jesus."

Mission

We spread and act as the radical sign of God’s Kingdom to the people of the peripheries in Southern Tamil Nadu. Our aim is to transform their lives through the upliftment of the marginalized, providing comfort to the weary, and helping them experience the fullness of life in Jesus Christ.
